Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is performed
to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, and is most commonly used
to minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and eyes. Laser
light is used to remove wrinkles, lines, age spots, scars, moles, tattoos,
and warts from the surface of the skin. Fine lines around the eyes and
mouth are smoothed, deep creases and frown lines are softened and the
appearance of acne scars is improved. As new skin cells form during the
healing process, your face will appear more smooth, tighter, and younger-looking.
During this procedure the outer layers of damaged skin are stripped away,
and as new cells form during the healing process a younger-looking skin
surface appears that is tighter and smoother.
